Ayurveda – Ancient Indian Wisdom Of Living & Healing

Ayurveda is the oldest organized system of medicine rooted on finest scientific protocols of holistic health influenced from Vedic concepts & philosophies of ancient India. Because of its effectiveness in treating the root cause of the problem and identifying the root cause by accurate diagnosis using its scientific protocols, Ayurveda is considered as Mother of All systems of medicine.

The concept of Ayurveda is that every tangible and intangible thing in the universe is unique and governed by the laws of nature. According to Ayurveda every living and non-living being in this universe is a combination of five basic eternal elements, called PanchaMahaBhoothas.

Human body is also constituted by these five eternal elements which are:

  • Earth
  • Water
  • Fire
  • Air
  • Ether

Pancha Maha Bhoothas manifest in human body as three basic principles or subtle energies or bodily humors which are known as Tridoshas in Sanskrit. The word “Dosha” literally means that which maintains and controls the body.

The three doshas that constitute human body are:

  • Vata
  • Pitta
  • Kapha

The human body in which 3 Doshas are in a state of equilibrium enjoys perfect health; their disequilibrium causes ill health. The vitiated doshas are the prime causative factor for a disease.

As per Ayurvedic principles, every individual has a specific Prakruti (Body Constitution) and this helps to determine the physical, mental, and the physiologic state along with their vulnerability to diseases.
